And it ends in one number you can trust
- One figure per subject or skill — how current the knowledge is, not a grade, and never a rank.
- It falls while you do nothing. A number that only rises is a progress bar, not a measurement.
- It says why: what went past its check date, what was held and lost, and what has now stuck.
- It stops when you’re finished. Move up a year and last year’s subjects freeze as a record.
What the research supports — and what it does not claim
Research supports retrieval practice, distributed practice, transfer through fresh retrieval, and well-designed feedback. Practicks translates those findings into product behaviour. Its adaptive signals, review dates and Knowledge Upkeep Index are transparent decision aids — not direct measurements of memory, intelligence or a person’s worth.

Author in the platform, import a spreadsheet, or connect your organisation’s own compatible AI provider to draft questions from your material. Credentials are encrypted and write-only, and drafts stay inside your workspace — a person must review, approve and publish each item before any learner can see it.

A few direct answers
Before you decide
A question I had already answered came back and I got it wrong. Is something broken?
No — that is the product doing its job. Getting something right once is not the same as knowing it, so ideas return later, as a different question, to find out which held. Catching one on the way out is exactly what you want, while there is still time. It is not a mark, and nobody else sees it.
Does Practicks teach lessons or replace my course?
No. It contains questions, hints and feedback after an attempt — not lessons, notes, videos or a prescribed curriculum. Learn wherever you choose; use Practicks to check what remains.
Will learners see marks, ranks or failure labels?
Practice is unpenalised and learners are never ranked. Institutions keep the grading and review controls they need for Evaluation, while learners see growth-oriented progress.
Is a Practicks result an official credential?
No. Practicks does not issue certificates, and its scores are not a substitute for an exam, entrance test, interview or employer decision.
